The HiJack Life Standard
HiJack Life questions the status quo. We don’t settle for “good enough.” We don’t accept something just because it’s common, convenient, or profitable. We demand the best for our dogs because they give us their best. HiJack Life is for people who understand that better quality creates a better life, and who refuse to compromise when it comes to their dogs.
Why the Name Matters
The name HiJack Life is intentional. It’s saying hi to Jack - our yellow Labrador Jackson who lives life exactly the way it’s meant to be lived. And it’s about hijacking life - taking ownership of it, refusing autopilot, and choosing higher standards. Dogs already live this way. They show up fully every day. We believe they deserve the same in return.
Where This Brand Started
This movement didn’t start as a business. It started with loss. When Brody (our heart dog) was diagnosed with cancer, we were doing everything we thought was right. The “best” food. The “best” treats. The “best” care. And yet it wasn’t enough! Cancer still showed up! When that happened, I stopped trusting and started questioning what was inside his bowl. Losing Brody forced me to ask harder questions about food, health, and what we blindly accept as “normal”.
From Grief to Conviction
Out of that darkness came clarity for me to live my life. Better food. More time outside. More movement. More connection to nature and God. I stopped accepting answers just because they were popular. I started asking why. And then the question hit me: If I’m changing how I live… why wouldn’t I change how I feed my dog? Dogs evolved from wolves. Wolves eat real, natural, unprocessed food. Meat!!! There is no such thing as kibble in the wild.
Pain to Purpose: Everyday Feathers
After losing Brody, we knew we couldn’t let his story end in grief. So, my partner started the Everyday Feathers Foundation in his honor. The mission is simple: support families whose dogs are battling cancer, provide financial assistance during treatment, and fund research to help end canine cancer. We took heartbreak and turned it into service. A portion of every HiJack Life purchase goes toward supporting the Everyday Feathers mission. Because changing the standard doesn’t stop at nutrition. It extends to how we show up for families when they need it most. Brody’s legacy isn’t just a memory. It’s movement.
What We Stand For (And Who We’re Not For)
HiJack Life exists to change the standard by putting dogs first. We provide real, ethically sourced, dog-appropriate nutrition designed to support vitality, longevity, and healthier lives. Without fillers, artificial ingredients, shortcuts, or any other poisons that are considered “normal”. This brand is not for everyone. Most people are comfortable with “good enough.” That’s their choice. But it’s not ours!
Our Promise
Our promise is simple: we will never put profit, convenience, or corporate models ahead of your dog’s health. If it is not good enough for our own dogs, it is not good enough for yours. They give us their absolute best every single day and we refuse to give them anything less in return.
